Orbus expands with Agfa's Jeti printing systems

FULL STORY
At Sign Expo earlier this month, Agfa announced that Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, a supplier of tradeshow exhibit, display and graphics is reaping unprecedented success and sales growth with its Jeti systems.

Launched in 2001, Orbus has remained focused on producing the highest quality products for its loyal customer base. Originally a six-person shop that produced traditional sign applications, Orbus has consistently expanded offerings and capabilities. Today, Orbus has evolved into a leading supplier of tradeshow graphics and supplies with over 100 employees. According to Aaron Kozar, vice president of graphic operations, ‘In 2005 we were growing faster than ever and we needed the right equipment to keep up with demand and to build for the future. For Orbus, the future was the Jeti system.’ Since then, the company has invested in five high-performance Jeti printers.

Agfa announced the acquisition of Gandi Innovations in November 2009. The acquisition enables Agfa Graphics to significantly increase its presence in large-format inkjet, as Gandi Innovations' portfolio of mid-range large-format printers is completely complementary to Agfa Graphics' inkjet business. The deal closed in January 2010.

According to Kozar, ‘We were thrilled when Agfa closed the deal to acquire Gandi Innovations. We have grown so much and a big part of that growth is due to our Jeti printers, so it was important that the right company stepped up. Now the Jeti printers are backed by a strong company and we're excited about the future of these products.’
