FFEI, a leading supplier of CTP and workflow solutions will demonstrate a Beta version of its latest software solution for the fast visualisation of printed packaging. RealPro - 3D Packager integrates neatly with existing Packaging workflows allowing customers to produce ‘3D soft prototypes’ for a range of products without committing to costly physical mock-ups.
According to Andy Cook, managing director at FFEI, ‘We have a sister product to RealPro - 3D Packager for commercial printers and creatives - its outstanding performance is based on comprehensive research with potential users. We hope Packaging Innovations will provide us with similar market feedback for RealPro - 3D Packager, as we finalise its features and bring it to commercialisation later this year.’
RealPro - 3D Packager will offer major benefits in terms of automation, production efficiency and reduced turnaround times by creating 3D interactive prototypes that streamline and fast track the concept approval process whilst vastly reducing media usage and costs. An eco-friendly digital prototype can be shared with internal and external stakeholders via a simple Web browser for annotation, comment and approval.
With its real-time rendering technology, RealPro - 3D Packager easily synchronises with the package design software allowing visualisation of 3D prototypes in parallel with the design creation, without additional steps or rework. Users can flick between the design package, such as Adobe Illustrator, and RealPro - 3D Packager to see a 3D mock-up of the finished product as it evolves throughout the design stage. RealPro - 3D Packager enables any issues with the prototype to be identified and corrected as the design is being developed, saving multiple iterations and time taken for rework.
RealPro - 3D Packager also streamlines the creation of cutter guides by allowing the creation of die lines from imported 3D objects, technical drawings or existing projects. Adding perforations or cut-outs becomes part of the creative process rather than a complex technical bottleneck and allows direct testing on the visual impact on the final product.
FFEI's RealPro - 3D Packager will offer cost-effective visualisation of packaging designs and add a new layer of advanced functionality to existing packaging workflows. Furthermore, once finalised, RealPro - 3D Packager will have intuitive user interfaces with minimal training required and an easy transition to fast user engagement.
