EskoArtwork to show innovative design to Luxe Pack

FULL STORY
EskoArtwork has announced its attendance to Luxe Pack, which takes place from 28 – 31 October in Monaco. At Luxe Pack brand owners meet with suppliers to the luxury packaging industry to learn about innovative approaches to their business challenges. On stand DB21 (Hall Diaghile), EskoArtwork will display the latest integrated solutions that are revolutionising packaging design.

‘In the fast-paced world of packaging design for luxury products, seeing is believing,’ said Dieter Janout, global director brand owners at EskoArtwork, ‘That's why we will conduct live packaging creation and virtual prototyping demonstrations at the show. Assisting us with these demonstrations will be Switzerland's Hotz Design Communication, and Landor from France. During these demonstrations, brand owners will be able to experience the Design Life-Cycle management, from creation to print, that EskoArtwork brings to the packaging design industry.’

In addition, EskoArtwork will participate in the 36th Annual Congress of the Pan-European Brand Design Association, speaking about innovative solutions for packaging from design to print. Jean-Marie Hotz from Hotz Design will join Dieter Janout in the presentations. Furthermore, EskoArtwork is also a sponsor of the 2nd edition of the global Pentawards packaging design competition of which the award ceremony takes place during Luxe Pack.

‘Brand owners will learn how major advances in packaging design technologies streamline the entire packaging supply chain,’ added Janout. ‘These advances include 3D modelling, online real-time collaboration, and the ability to work with structural design and graphic design within the same application. With these new capabilities in hand, many of our customers are re-examining their entire workflow to ensure that they take advantage of all of the benefits.’

Highlights of what brand owners will see on the EskoArtwork stand include:

Studio is a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator that puts interactive 3D packaging creation in the hands of the designer. Studio offers a 3D viewing environment where designers can see their artwork applied instantly on the packaging.

Visualizer allows users to create and share ultra-realistic on-screen mock-ups and soft proofs of complex packaging and label designs with high-value finishing effects. With Visualizer, users can also visualise special finishes. They can visualise how packages and labeled products will look when handled and moved. They can also visualise the effects of a variety of in-store lighting environments and backgrounds.

ArtPro 9.0. Beginning at the beginning, ArtPro is one of the world's most productive and effective editors for the pre-production of labels and packaging. This workstation software, which operates on both Mac and PC platforms, includes dedicated functions and tools to prepare graphics for a wide array of packaging production technologies (litho printing, flexo printing, gravure, silk screen). In its latest version, ArtPro is tightly integrated with other EskoArtwork products, including BackStage for a streamlined workflow through the print production process. ArtPro 9.0 also ingests native ArtiosCAD structural design files, an important capability for users in the folding carton segment. ArtPro 9.0's direct link to EskoArtwork Visualizer then allows instant creation of 3D mock-ups in an ultra-realistic, real-time environment that is revolutionising the design of packaging and other dimensional applications.

WebCenter allows members of the packaging supply chain to work virtually, in real-time. This allows collaboration with internal creative, marketing, package design and engineering groups, as well as external vendors and suppliers and other internal personnel. WebCenter projects can contain any type of document, including CAD files, graphic files, spreadsheets, proposals, purchase orders, customer specifications, and it automatically maintains versions of every one of these documents.

Equinox supports five, six or seven inks, including industry standard extended gamut inks sets such as Pantone Hexachrome, FMsix or Opaltone. Equinox also offers maximum flexibility for defining spot colour conversions, matching spot inks to profiles or legacy conversion tables. It also allows creation of custom exception lists for all colour conversions. This simplifies ganging of jobs and allows designers to take advantage of a wider colour gamut. Jobs remain fully editable after conversion.

Kaleidoscope is a device-independent colour management tool that delivers absolute colour accuracy. It is an easy-to-use, integrated colour system that maximises colour consistency, predictability and repeatability in every stage of pre-production.

‘All of these solutions have the same common goal,’ concluded Janout. ‘They help brand owners improve brand image through better design and quality. They reduce both costs and time to market, and they enable better communication among all stakeholders in the packaging supply chain. They also help ensure full regulatory compliance wherever around the globe packaging is ultimately destined for. We are excited to share this important information with brand owners at Luxe Pack!’
